Apart from the previous varioECmini system with 5,7-inch TouchPanel for the complete automation of extruders,
PMA Prozeß- und Maschinen-Automation in Kassel, Germany now also supplies the larger version "varioEC". This
new system features a larger 12,1-inch display screen, and has been expanded to handle up to 20 temperature
control zones (heating/cooling) and 2 synchro-nized drives. The hardware is based on the KS vario multi-controller
and I/O system, and is modular for easy expansion. The clearly structured user interface has already been designed
to accommodate all sequencing, control and monitoring functions. With both systems, individual adaptation to the
extruder is configured directly by means of the terminal. In this way, the entire system is fully functional right
away. Thanks to its simple, customized adaptation, the varioEC has an unusually favourable price/performance ratio,
e.g. for the automation of coextrusion systems or extruders with integrated batching. A full colour flyer describes
